Hi just downloaded the nike+ running app to look at the headspace running. One of the runs mentions run for x mins at 10k pace then run for x mins at 5k pace. How do i know what my pace should be? Is the 10k b slower as it's longer compared to 5k pace?

Often your pace drops a little as the distance goes up. I notice you have got a graduation badge. I would say if you haven’t graduated yet you would not have that information to help you run. What are you trying to achieve with the training plan?, we can try and help.

I was just looking for what next (4 runs left) and wanted to try more mindful running I'd like to work up to 10k for next summer but just didn't understand what 5k pace or 10k pace was. Thanks for your reply xx

Not long now. 😀. After graduation either project you current 1km time to reach 5km or if you are near 5km try a 5km run to get your time, I get the feeling they are trying to get a two paced run out of that information so I would take the 5km pace and maybe knock 30 seconds a km off for the 10km pace. All these things are very individual and if anything feels like it just dosent fit change it around.

Ah I understand. It was one of the mindful runs that said run at 5k pace and 10k pace. I'm guessing that after condsolating for a couple of months move onto bridge to 10k and once I've managed 10k I can work out my pace. Thanks for taking your time to explain it to me. X
