I have registered for Park run and am excited to begin clocking my times and doing what has, upto now, been a solitary hobbie with other human beings.

I’m thinking that too but each time I’ll get faster and I think perhaps the fact that there will be other people running means I’ll have someone to keep up with.

Don't worry, you won't be the slowest. Of course there will be the fast ones at the front but if you hang back a bit at the start and take it slow and steady (where have you heard the before!) you'll be fine. I can assure you you definitely won't be the slowest!

Go for it! Good luck and happy running!

Brilliant idea. Parkrun is good way to run (or run/walk) 5k. ... and don't worry about being slow, there will definitely be people behind you.

Well done for completing C25k, a terrific achievement ... and good luck with your first Parkrun.

Happy running!
