Surprise!

I got a nice surprise from the Strava woman during my w5r2 today - ran the first km in 6:28 😮

I know we're not supposed to pay attention to pace or distance and just run for time but I'm pretty pleased with that!

Maybe a 30min 5k is within reach by w9....

Wow I only average 12.5 min miles usually on my runs. Great job

Cheers!

I'm amazed how well my body is dealing with what I'm asking of it, it's a real eye-opener. Should have done this years ago but I was convinced I couldn't run....

Thats really good, no wonder you are chuffed F4TMAN. Please don't push too hard at this stage for pb's though.

Your next run should be nice and steady to be successful. Hardly anyone acheives 5k in 30 minutes at Graduation, it will be great if you can, but getting to Graduation injury free is paramount.

Onwards and upwards...

Good luck with Wk5 R3😊x

Thank you!

I think it's more to do with running for 8 mins for the first time - long enough to complete a full kilometre where previously it always included some recovery walking.

I wasn't pushing any more than usual and slowed down a bit for the second stint. I'll definitely be aiming for slow and steady on Saturday 😊

I have a man chatting to me on Strava - I guess that’s one of the settings that can changed. Well done with your running F4TMAN. Just keep it steady though - you might find you need to reduce your speed as you progress.
