Since I've been running 25 min and 28min stretches, my friend from work has joined me and run with me. She's a regular runner so she's much faster but she slows down and encourages me
It's so much easier! The chat is fantastic and before I know it, we are at the halfway point! If I'm flagging I'm more motivated to keep going and she helps me be proud of my running. It's easier to stick to as well!
And those 28 minute runs? I love them. My body feels trimmer, I feel more confident, and the runners high is amazing. I'm 4 runs away from graduating and I'm already making plans for after I finish! Converted runner for life!

Sounds fantastic! I'm also 4 runs away from graduating but I have to say I'm still scared about running with someone else as I don't think I'd be able to speak
I was going to say the same thing - I've just completed Week 3; and whilst I know i'm improving, I'd be shitting bricks at the thought of running with a friend......forget not being able to speak; i'd be too self-conscious of slowing them down with my sedated snail pace....lol!!!!
My friend has run extreme marathons so she is definately faster and fitter but she is so encouraging and supportive. She usually leaves me and speeds up for the last minute or two of the run but during the run she keeps telling me I got this.
Honestly I didn't think she'd come back after the first run I was that slow but she did =]
