So, I foolishly signed up for a charity 5k next Tuesday. I thought I would have completed C25K a few weeks earlier but, life being what it is, my graduation run is tomorrow!
I’m only running about 4K in 30 mins but covering 5k if you include the walk at either end. So, do I go for it and push on through/see what happens? I’ve been such a slave to the letter of the programme!!
Also, I won’t be able to run this weekend. Is it ok if I run on Monday morning and then do the 5k on Tuesday night?
As you can see, this is all very new to me!

If it’s for charity the whole point is to complete the distance, times are irrelevant. A lot of people do 5k park runs and walk a lot of it. Wouldn’t really advise running 2 days on the bounce better to stay rested, if you want walk for 1/2 an hour on Monday just to keep moving
Same situation here!! I signed up for a run on Thursday. The company sponsor the starting fee and a T-Shirt for every runner ... so no excuse. As you I'm really afraid of failing. I did a Week 9 Run 4 two days ago. It was hot and I didn't feel well. I measured the distance to 4,5 km for the 30 minutes (without the walking). My idea is to start with a very low pace on Thursday, hopefully there are a lot more slow runners there, so I don't feel to increase my "speed" or maybe the others can slow me down!
Ah .. and I planned my last run on Monday, the other two days I will rest to have enough energy for Thursday!
I would be interested how you finish your charity run! I'll cross my fingers for you.
