Lost a little faith today, just don’t feel im getting stronger or that it’s getting much easier. Paused a couple times again for about 10 secs. About 5 mins in just felt nackered! 😒 graduate next week and determined for it to be On a high. Just would’ve thought struggling with 8 mins few
weeks ago to now doing longer runs, would be slightly easier

We all have those runs Claire. Just days when our heart and brain seem to say "So what if I am a Runner - big whoop "
You've come this far so you know your body is capable, it's the mental part that can so easily drag us down.
Best advice I can offer you is - what would you say to a newbie runner if they told you the same?
Honestly, we all have days where the "last straw" is a
"Lousy run" - but my worst running day ever is still better than going back to the seemingly endless lousy days when I made my sofa a hiding place from the outside world.
Claireednet, well done! You’re up, you’re out and you’ve just finished W8! That is incredible! I hope you smash it next week! You’ve come so far and I’m sure you can! Best wishes for a great W9 graduation! ❤️
When you start running a bad run can pull the rug from under you but as you gain in experience you will come to know that no two runs are the same. It is not always sunshine and flowers and maybe it is in the tough runs that we gain physical and psychological strength as runners. If you get the urge to stop, slow right down (as long as the running movement is still there its fine) until you find you are recovered and then carry on.
You’ll get there Claire. As others have said we all get bad runs- not always the ones we expect to be difficult. What matters is that you kept going. You’ll get back out there in a few days and we’ll all be cheering you on as you graduate xx
You've done amazing ..Just being out there .. I personally think we need more runs under our belt before it feels natural for our runs ...Time will get us there ...Good luck 😊
