Decided to shake things up a bit as it's all gone a bit stagnant with my consolidation runs π³ So over the last few days I've introduced some core strength exercises because I've seen no sign of improvement with my 30 minute runs; I find them as awful now as I found them when I graduated a month ago!! βΉοΈ On this evening's run I managed to clock up another 0.5K which isn't huge but takes me nearer to a 5K ~ and for someone who's been flatlining - it's Wahooooo!! π¬π¬π I had also taken a 2nd rest day which is something I'd stopped doing, but something I'm going to start up again!! π€ Just wanted to show off my progress really π€£ thanks for listening π
Eeeek!! Improvement!! π±π±π±: Decided to shake... - Couch to 5K
Eeeek!! Improvement!! π±π±π±
Excellent! Small changes can reap big benefits. I think it's wise to mix things up a bit so we don't get stuck in any ruts ππ
Keep at it, I am proud of us, we are still running. I managed 2.6 miles tonight in 31 minutes. My goal is 5k ( I think that is 3.1 miles) . I am not bothered about the time just the distance. I find the first 10 to 12 minutes hard. I am too focussed on pace and breathing. When I stop thinking about it nature just kicks in. Still not going to run to Dizzy Rascal, ever.
There is nothing wrong with that extra rest day in my opinion
Well done! It does get stagnant after graduation when the focus seems to go. I mixed mine up too but now seem to be all over the place! But at least weβre still doing it! Every KM counts!! πͺπΌπͺπΌ
Well done you! I rather be a bit stagnant with consolidation runs than just stagnant any day: Iβm so stagnant Iβve got mosquitoes buzzing round my head π€£π€£. Take it easy and youβll get there, youβre doing brilliantly πππ
