Hi! I’m Natalie and I’ve just completed week 2 of Couch 2 5k, anyone else at the same level as me? I’m a complete beginner who has gone from no exercise at all to getting up at 4am to complete a run! finding it a lot better than I thought it would be though so I’m definitely going to stick at it. plus I’ve told everyone I’m doing it so I can’t back out now!
the main thing I struggle with is knowing what to eat before and after a run. I’m currently following the Weight Watchers plan but I don’t think I’m eating the right things so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m a fellow weighwatcher too. I run early morning and don’t eat anything before I go . I always try and drink lots of water the day/night before and again , a few gulps before the run.
When I come back, lots of water again then coffee and usual breakfast- porridge in my case.
I’ve never run later in the day but can’t imagine running after food.
Think the recommendation is to leave an hour after food to run. Some snack on a banana first thing. Hope this helps! Good luck with your 🏃🏼♀️
We are all different in respect of what to eat before a run. Obama just about to head out on a 12k run, so I will have a banana and a pint of very diluted apple juice..........it works for me.
In general terms there is no need to change your diet if you are already eating a healthy, varied and broad based diet.
Hi - am in exactly the same place as you - i get up early to run but only have a quick drink of water beforehand - then have breakfast (granola) afterwards - never found it a problem = hope this helps = how are you feeling about Wk3 - I am excited and nervous !!
