I am on W3R3 and had to keep stopping. I did really well on R2 a couple of days ago and was dead chuffed with myself especially since I had just finished night shift. The problem is my shins hurt. Also we walked about 12 miles yesterday so my legs ache - but I felt good for it tonight. I’m a bit disappointed. Why do my shins hurt when I run. I feel the need to keep stopping and stretching. Any advice would be very welcome 😊. I really want to do this.

I can’t help with the shin problem, but I can say that it is absolutely worth having a proper pair of running trainers that take into account the way your foot falls. And to follow the advice on the pinned post about stretches.
I graduated today, and had every ache, strain and obstacle on the way, but somehow started to love the way I felt on a run once I just stopped thinking!
I really hope the shins stop hurting soon, good luck.

Hi Janny. I had same trouble around the same time, and posted on here for help. I was told,: go to a running shoe specialist, have gaite analysis and invest in proper running shoes. Don't run until shin pain has stopped. I took it all on board and am on w9r2 now, so don't despair, you'll get there 🏃♀️
