How long to recover from a sprained ankle!?

Hi Guys ... my first post since using this app. All going well, loving the slow feed in to full runs and the encouragement too. That really helps. All psyched up to start week three in the woods this morning, got into it and then completely stacked it and fell over my ankle and had to hobble home.

Annoyed!

Anyway, have a slight sprain. Definitely can't run on it today, but any idea on how long I should leave it before I try and run?

Thanks.

Sarah

Simple answer.........until it is pain free and has full mobility and load bearing. Ankles have relatively poor blood supply, so can take some time. Last time I did mine in, it was nearly two weeks of non running, although cycling was fine.

It's always longer than you think or want and you need to be able to walk pain free before you run.
