So, we decided a beach front run was in order just to change things up. Changing route made such a difference, not knowing where we should be at every step meant we were more relaxed than usual. Endorphins kicked in and we were chuckling, yes, you heard right, chuckling on our run. MJ abandoned us (prob my fault as I was messing about with the phone camera to get a pic for this post!), but we weren't worried, no panic, no mental calculation just decided to check Strava...in a bit. So we ran 29 mins which wasn't bad considering were had nothing to go on given our new route. For once we were both happy with our performance and I was glad we slowed it down again to avoid aggravating my old recurring ski injury.
I also invested in support sleeves for my knees and tonight was the first run in, they were ok but I did wonder if they were causing some hamstring pain which I hadn't had until tonight π€
Still got 4.3K in our time slot even with slowing down. Wished I'd also tracked the walk back though as it took around 30 mins and was quite hilly. Possibly got just as good a workout from that!
A good, boring run, just what we want before graduation week. High points were a duck fishing and pulling funny faces at each other when the endorphins hit - they'd sell that stuff if they could only bottle it!!!
