Hello all....its been a really really long time. I graduated once and then was off enjoying the running. Then i broke my tib and fib had some time off, then had the metal work taken out last year and finally after a bout of bronchitis felt ready to get back on the horse. I just finished wk3r2 and needed to write something.

This community is an amazing way to get inspiration and motivation and advice. You are all fabulous and I’m proud to be a member

I’m now the heaviest i have been, turned 50, all my dogs have died but i am determined to get back to running as i was and loving it

I also just started golf last august and play in my first comp today so incredibly nervous

Anyways 3rd in tomorrow and the ‘slow and steady’ beat is chomping at the bit i hope its still there when i need to face the demon in the morning

Xx

Welcome back Dolphin :) Gosh you have been through the mill! Running is still here though, waiting for you and the forum is still a great source of support and advice. You will soon be back to 5k and loving your old friend again.

Welcome back....storms weathered... carrying extra cargo..but ready to set sail again ( sea theme this morning...I am at my holiday home on the coast...:)... Yep I am still here:)

The runs are here too and I am thrilled that slow and steady is the way you will be setting sail..I had a bit of a crisis with this in a post a day ago!!!

Very well done. Keep it gentle and listen to your body until you get going..

Maybe take a look a the link here from IannodaTruffe ..the post is for new runners, but may prove a useful reminder:)

Wow what a lot you've been through. I feel your pain and exhuastion.

At least you know the programme works, it's just a matter of time and perseverance.

The runs will help you renew and restart. I'm sure there's great things to come on your horizon. 🌈

Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
