So I’m at week 7 but yesterday managed to complete a 5k run in 26degrees of heat without stopping or walking in 34.40.
I ran with a far fitter friend but she encouraged me not to stop, keep going and we did it!
Now back to week 8 of the C25K and plan to consolidate on 5k running for a few months before stepping up, and possibly entering another race in November.
Incidentally I’m 54, slightly overweight and not very fit...if I can do it anybody can. Just take it slow, steady and follow the plan. Also it worked for me having a goal to work towards.
