Am going to get one! Babysitting the grandkids tomorrow. Son in law who does triathlons has a few. He won't miss one!

Not as nice as a 30 min run, so get the running gear laid out ready :)

Have you found one Jay66?

Yeah - Aldi have them in this week and I got one from Amazon as well.

So do you just roll your calves along it?

Jay66UK profile image
Jay66UKGraduate in reply to Dexy5

Yup. And it really takes all of the tension out of the muscle. I wish I had this around W3.

You’ll have to take another photo to show the difference and make Oldfloss happy 😃

Can’t add a photo to this thread and too shy to start yet another one about my hairy legs!

I got one from Aldi too! I was sceptical but surprised how it’s eased my shin pain! Weird!

I bought one after your suggestion. Day it arrived I rollered my calves then kind of did my thighs, then back, and it was so ouchily blissful I was lying on it for about 40 mins. Best purchase!

My son spotted it when he came in from school- "what's that thing?" 10 mins later he was rolling about on it :D

Ace! I now have very floppy calves for the first time in weeks.

Haha I spent my Friday night foam rolling.... oh how times have changed! I'm so glad nobody was there to witness it - but the pain at the time will hopefully be worth it during today's 25 minute run!! 🤞🏻

Hi what is the foam rolling calve

Jay66UK profile image
Jay66UKGraduate in reply to Ann-e

A foam roller is a tube about a foot long and about 4 inches in diameter covered in shapes made of hard foam. You use them to roll your calf muscles along to make them relax after running. It hurts to start with but the relief if you have tight muscles is immense. You can use it on other tight or sore muscles too.

I’m off to get one. Thanks jay

You’re welcome. Congrats on graduating - where’s your badge??

in reply to Jay66UK

Thanks. Did you find some good you tube videos to show you what to do? The badge is in the post ;)

Thank you Jay66UK I've been wondering what to do with my painful calf muscles having just completed week six - can't wait till my roller arrives tomorrow
