Dodgy calf advice

Hi folks. Loving the programme and about to start W3. A few years back I damaged my calf and was limping/couldn't run on it for a while. Yesterday during run it started to twinge and I'm worried I could make it worse. Do support socks help this kind of thing? I really want to finish the program. Thanks all

Have you checked your shoes and had proper gait analysis done? I found most of my calf pain came from having the wrong shoes, a proper running shop sorted me out by looking at my bio mechanics.

If your shoes are fine then compressions sleeves are worth a go in my experience and can cut down the amount of fatigue... also make sure you stretch and strengthen. I do heel drops every day and a few calf raises just to build strength and flexibility.

Cheers Cliff. Ran on it this am. Bit tweaky but hopefully can maintain it ;-)
