Just completed W5 run 2 and for the last few days have had very sore upper back muscle pain and very sensitive skin. Someone said could be the way I move my arms when running. Anyone else had/have this?

Were you carrying anything in your hands eg water, phone, inhaler? I had upper back pain and that was the reason so now I carry them in a waist belt.

I sometimes get pain across the top of my shoulders, like tension pain you get when hunched over your desk for hours. I think it's a result of tensing my body either because of the cold weather or when I'm concentrating on the run too much instead of relaxing into it.

You could just be holding yourself tensely, we sometimes do this.. shake out your shoulders and your hands and arms as you run..it helps and it entertains any passers by:)

Makes sure you are doing some strength and flex exercises and stretch well after each and every run..:)
