It hurts, I need help

Hi Ally. I do dynamic stretches beforehand and stretches after. Think there is a pinned post on here somewhere. I definetly noticed from week 7 I needed to do pre stretching.
Thank you Ripcurlrana, I thought that would be the case, would you know where this pinned post would be 😀

This is the post run.
livestrong.com/slideshow/10... I do these pre run. Hope they help. 😊
Couldn’t find pinned posts! 😂

Beware of running with shin pain, if it develops into full blown shin splints you could be pout of action for months. Have you got good shoes? If not get yourself to your sport shop and buy some...
Thank you, can you recommend a good shop to go to....I wouldn’t know where to start 🤣🤣
I've no idea where you live sorry! Google it maybe?
If you go to a good shop, they will give you gait analysis - film you while you run on a treadmill, then slow the film down and look at how you run. It sounds scary but really it isn't! A lot of people "overpronate", this means their ankles bend inwards as they run, putting all sorts of strain on all sorts of places.
I got shin splints in week 2 of C25K, never known such pain, I couldn't walk, couldn't even bear a sheet on my legs at night. I didn't know about proper running shoes, so I took the advice of the lovely people here and went for gait analysis, and lo and behold! I overpronate! Some support shoes ( they have foam in the soles where you need it) soon sorted me out, what a difference they make! Some people supranate, I think that's the right term, that means their ankles bend outwards, you won't know until you have the analysis. You might even be a neutral runner, neither of those problems, but you will still benefit from proper running shoes.
They are not cheap. Expect to pay around £120. The analysis is usually free, and most shops will offer a return service, if you don't get on with the shoes you can return them even after you've run in them, can't say fairer than that! Do check when you but though. Good shoes are definitely worth the money.
Best of luck, let us know how you get on.
