W6R1 not sure what to say.

Well now I totally get why this one catches people out. Luckily I had heeded all the warnings but it's a sneaky little b****r nonetheless. Managed to get through it but it was by no means easy & I def haven't got the runners high I had after completing W5. I can't do R2 now until Sunday - so four rest days but hopefully that's not too much of a break & will give me a chance to find my mojo. Good luck to all of you running for the next few days. Stay calm & keep on running! (Gotta get a mug with that printed on)

Well done! And don’t worry, you’re only one more run from another long’un! Personally I think I’m going to miss the walks but lots of people are glad to leave them. Good luck with the rest of the week!

It's difficult isn't it? Not sure what's best shorter runs with more breaks or longer runs with no breaks - I guess I'll let you know at graduation!

You're doing fine ww - and I love the idea for a mug ☺

Just had a look on Amazon - there's quite a few on there. The one I liked best was "I run because punching people is frowned upon" not sure how that would go down at work tho.... will be putting that on my birthday list I think. Or maybe a graduation present.

LOL. :) The guys at one place I worked over here years ago got me a mug that read 'Dangerous Johnny"- sounded dead hard right? However - they also got a sign made for the door that kind of explained the true state of affairs...

I'd made the mistake of showing them some old 'The Sweeny' episodes, and they absolutely loved when Carter kicked in a door shouting 'We're the Sweeney and we 'aven't 'ad our breakfast yet!!"

So - with a blending of transatlantic humour that rarely works, next thing on the Ops Center door was -

"Bomb Disposal Expert at work 0800 to 0815hrs - for everyone's safety - do NOT disturb!!!! (not really - but similar scenario likely if you bother IJ before he has his coffee!) "

😂😂. I can just imagine.

That’s my next run, I’ve seen a few posts saying this one was unexpectedly tricky, your doing great, and well done for getting through it ⭐️x

You'll be fine. It's not that bad just very different from W5 - I think W5 was my fav so far. Just heed the warnings these guys have given us all on previous posts - & remember the mantra - slow & steady! Good luck - keep us posted.

See? U smashed it. Knew you would. You're toughies in Kent. Enjoy your days off but keep up the mug research xx

in reply to sallenson

Ha ha! Thank you. Wouldn't say I smashed it exactly - but I got thru it. How u doing? (Oops - Joey from friends popped up there!) I was thinking of u when I was running & how down you sounded when you last posted. Hope you're feeling better about it all now. That mug is def gonna be a graduation present.

I'm good thx hon. Emotional amplitude issues put away until thd next time. Psyched about giving it a hammering tomorrow. My wife did say "You did notice it's uphill didn't you?" It's a very long but very gentle incline which i didnt notice tbh.

Doubtless there will be an asinine post about it all tomorrow lol

xx

Remember the mantra - slow & steady. You'll be great. You can do it - you know you can. Do keep us posted though.
