I’ve loved this journey and was elated at the end of wk6, but just completed wk7 run 1 25mins it was hard, I shouted at myself to keep going but really flagged at the end. I need inspiration people x

Oh god don’t say that- I’m doing this one in the morning ! I did find the last run of wk6 hard too but trying to remain positive 😱

Be positive it was warm and the pollen count is up, I’m asthmatic and do struggle to breath when I run outside xx

Have a great run tomorrow

Well done. You get bad runs and good ones for no real reasons. That doesn't mean you are not ready for the next. I just had a hard postgrad run but the one before was easy. Don't over think it and put it to one side so you can start the next one with positivity X

I would say hang on in there and it will improve. 😀

I found W7 really hard, (What?? No walking breaks?! Really!!? 😂)

I slogged my way through it with the help of new routes to distract me from my inner whinging. Everything was much better by W8 - your body will keep on adapting if you give it the chance!😄

Do you listen to music when you run? If so have you considered listening to a podcast instead? Or vice versa? Worth a try to take your mind off the time.

Listening to a podcast has made a huge difference to me

No I haven’t but thanks for the tip! Probably going to run w7r1 with Judy Dench but will look to switch after that so will give Fearne a look in.

Yes another desert island castaway. Had Bradley Wiggins today.

Ps. How do you get someone’s name linked’ in your post (like mine in yours?) I’m not great at technology!

if you put the @ sign at the beginning of the posters name it 'links' it ..so @wyer.. i won't finish your name cos it will link it again lol

I think the hardest bit for me tonight was knowing how hard it was going to be! It was hot and my hayfever is bad. So I knew it wouldn't be easy. It wasn't terrible, but not easy either!

This is my first post, been lurking for weeks but I had to reply as I had exactly the same experience today! I loved wk 6 run 3 and was on a high for hours afterwards but today’s run was completely different. I was struggling right from the off set, I actually didn’t think I was going to manage it, the last five minutes nearly killed me, heart was pounding and talk about a shuffle, I couldn’t have gone any slower!! I don’t think the heat helped me today, it was pretty warm. First run I really haven’t enjoyed. But, I think we should take heart, we did it after all. We’ve proved we can run 25 minutes not once but twice. Hopefully just a blip and the next run will be better.

Thank you, glad it wasn’t just me...I’m now thinking it’s just going to get easier. Good luck with your next run x

I’ve just completed this one and also found the last five mins a slog. I actually thought I wasn’t going to make it. When Sarah Milican said “last 60 secs” I could have punched her!!

Anyway it’s fine and just hope the next is slightly better. Onwards and upwards eh? Good luck 💪

I found this one of my hardest runs so far! If I could have detached my legs that night & not used them again for a week I would have done!! However that being said the next run was great and have only got better. So hang in there you have got this & doing mighty fine xx
