W5R1 - Running is getting tougher and easier 😀

Started my W5 today. It’s such a strange feeling. Before starting the week I was so apprehensive about the first run, couldn’t imagine myself doing three 5 mins run.

It certainly is getting tougher but somehow getting easier as well. I’m managing to recover just enough between the runs to gather strength to complete the next run. I definitely feel my stamina and strength building up.

Having said all of that I’m still so apprehensive of the 20 min run on W5R3. Wish me strength 😀

And everyone else on W5 here is my wish for you all to champion W5 👍🏼

I'm always busy planning ahead (it's a weakness of mine), and I've just done W5R2. So, preparing for the last run of the week (which I'm thinking a bit about at the moment) I did the middle session walk bit at a very fast pace (well, fast for walking for me). I've got the final run of the week tomorrow - fingers crossed!

At the same time - well done you, and focus on each run as and when it comes. I have a look on the website and see what the forthcoming session entails, and plan the most suitable route I can for myself.

Good luck.

I have the same affliction, already wondering where to find a Bridge to 10K or consolidating podcasts for when we complete. That's positivity for you! Always checking ahead to see what's coming. I find it helps.

W5r3 is great! Take it easy, watch your speed and you will ace it. I was dubious about my ability to do it having only been running for a month, but the plan works And it’s the most satisfying feeling when it’s in the bag. Good luck to everyone ticking off their first 20 min run this weekend. You can all do it!

I know what you mean. However, psychologically, I felt that the first session would be easier, as we ran for 5 minutes at a time last week.

I do find the route planning a little tricky this week, as all sessions are different.

I've got W5R3 tomorrow as well, so really not looking forward to it. But I will go out, remember all I've learnt on the programme so far and see how far it carries me.

Good luck to all who are finishing week 5 tomorrow.

Hi, I’m at same stage as you, this 20 mins on day 3 seems a bit random don’t u think?

Hi, when I saw that I had exactly the same feeling, but given how well this program is working for me and almost all of us here, I’m just trusting that is doable. But I’m still apprehensive 😀

Aiming to do W5R3 on Sunday. Was pleasantly surprised at our runs this week. Esp R2 when the app crashed and we ended up running 13-5-8 waiting to hear from Sarah. Picked up the pace for the last minute of the second run and felt the endorphins kick in like nothing else! Hope you're enjoying W5 as much as we are. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
