Wanting to get back in to a shape that isn't a circle or an oval...
I'm a busy single mum of 5,with 2 little grandsons, I'm doing the couch to 5k because I want to get on top of my own health and fitness so I'm around to enjoy the most of my time with them...
My biggest issue is I work nights so my body clock is up the wall along with my eating habits... xx

I work office hours and tend to run before I start work just to get it out the way. Have you considered running before work? Or designating a time during the day to run?I’ve found that I have to discipline myself and just go running even when I really do not want to (trust me, I hated running with a passion, week 2 second run down and I just dislike it now).
I know it’s hard to dedicate time to this, especially when you have a busy lifestyle but dedicate 30 minutes just to running, you need to make time to make this work. Good luck.
Yeayayayayayya.. Go you... Super Mama..there are so many folk like you doing awesome things.. well done!
Slow and steady... and try to find, somewhere a time you can run...either.. just before you head to work..or in any break you may have... weekends can be useful too.
If it takes you longer than nine weeks do not worry. I am sure you may get some more useful replies
This is going to be one of the best things you have ever done Welcome!
I agree with the reply above, if you are time pressured then designating your running slots on a weekly timetable may help, as long as you are strict about following the rota.
Well done for taking the first step. The runs can be flexible, it would be better to just do a couple of runs a week than non at all. I know most people do three runs a week but if you have to take one over to the next week that is fine too. Working nights will be putting additional pressures on your body so find a schedule that fits you. I always tell people this is your running journey and the best thing you can do is Mold it to yourself and a make it work for you rather than the other way round. Yes, it will take you more than nine weeks if you do that but the end result will be exactly the same. Also if you fit it round yourself you are more likely to stick with it. The simple fact of weekly exercise will help mentally with your food because as you progress you will start to view food as fuel rather than comfort and this makes a world of difference. Good luck.
