Yes, Oldfloss , I went for my run this evening! I decided to try the C25k+ Speed podcast and see how I got on with it, having had fun(!) with Stepping Stone on Sunday...
The warm-up walk was fine - although rather quicker than Iβm used to, so it took me a minute or two to adjust to the pace again. And then the fun began! The first five minutes were ok - a bit quicker than my first few minutes usually are, but manageable. Then suddenly it was time for the intervals. Eek!
First one done, then down to the 150bpm recovery which always felt impossibly slow when I last used this podcast a couple of years ago. I couldnβt face the start of the second fast interval and actually slowed to a walk for a bit - but about halfway through it got a grip and started running again! Having found my mojo I then managed to settle into the pattern and kept going properly until the second to last slow jog, when I walked again for about 30 seconds.
The last interval, however, I just went for it - I canβt sustain a flat-out run for the whole 60 seconds but began and ended it quickly
So not perfect, but respectable enough for a first try
