Success! Having only got to the 3rd run section on my first attempt, I have been out and got myself some proper (though cheap - due to the repulsive colour scheme!) running shoes and some leggings, and got some suitable tunes on a playlist, I have today completed my run #1 of couch to 5k. I thought my legs were going to turn to jelly by run 5, but I made it through all 8 of my 60 second runs. I haven’t run at all since I was 14 (30 years ago) and even then it was a case of walking when the PE teacher wasn’t looking. It was much better to be properly equipped (not wearing the crappy trainers that I have worn for gardening for 5 years, and a pair of jeans!) and not dragging a surprised dog along. I ran/walked around the village football pitch, whilst my OH took the dog for her walk. I’m not sure if I will be able to move at all tomorrow, but I’m determined to do this. Especially as my OH thinks that I won’t!

Well done, you’re just like me and many others here with this being the most running done since school!
I hope your OH will be supportive, mine has been surprisingly so and it has made a world of difference to my motivation. Tell him he has to take you out to dinner if you make it to week 5 (adjust as you see fit)!
