Dissapointed with myself the brain is willing alas tell that to my body waist down. I have been trying to exercise/jog through pain but my 3rd outing on Friday was a no no. my hips & back are very painful so my GP sent me for an x ray results in about 10 days. I refuse to give up & will try tomorrow to complete my first week. Very downhearted.

I really don't think you should run if its painful...something is wrong, and running is an impact exercise..
Rest, see what your results say..and get yourself sorted out.
When you are fit and ready you can get back to running...

I hope your x- rays are ok. Everybody finds the first week hard (i seriously thought i was having heart failure), so dont beat yourself up. You have a great attitude, your determination does you credit. Take it steadily and repeat runs if you cant manage them. And obviously take care if your x-rays show anything that needs rest or treatment. You will get there x

One of the points very clearly made in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... is that you never run through real pain........aches, twinges and niggles, maybe, but pain is a red light, so stop. If a pain recurs, do as you have and consult a medical professional. Please do not run again until you have been given the all clear. It is possible to do serious, irreparable damage by ignoring your bodies signals. Listen to your body.
