Last night I had to force myself out for my run - just tired and not in the mood for another warm run at all. But I’ve worked too hard to get to this point to give up now, so off I went. Even through I’m not planning on starting the 10k plan quite yet, I decided to take some inspiration from it and just do a 2.5k run.
It took some faffing to find where I could change the settings in RunKeeper to give me distance rather than time prompts, but I found it and eventually set out as the sun was starting to disappear behind the (relatively) tall buildings around here.
The park wasn’t as busy as I’d expected, especially given the warm weather, so that was a bonus - and I plodded around. Just one lap of my usual route instead of two. At times I did consider running for longer, but decided to stick with what I’d planned - and a good thing too, as I’d definitely gone a little quicker than usual and couldn’t have done the whole thing again!
But yay for me - doing something different, whether it’s using different music, a new route, or a new plan, is something I find very difficult and off-putting, but I did it!
