Welcome.

I hoped that running would improve my sleeping habits, as it does with many, but to no avail.............but in every other aspect running is win, win.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.

You will find loads of support here, Ive just finished week 4 and had a bit of a melt down at end of the week. Everyone on here picked me up and I felt a load better. I am all of the things you describe above so although running doesn't fix everything I believe by trying to give some time to myself the other problems may settle down too. Thats my theory :) ..we shall see

Hi ! I’m the same age as you and I completed the programme in early December last year! It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself! I’m still running 2 or 3 times a week and feel so much better for it! Definitely less stressed and happier but I’m afraid I’m still a terrible sleeper!!! 😀

All sounds horribly familiar. I started C25K in the summer holidays last year aged 47 as a way of trying to combat a completely unhealthy, stress inducing educational job.

It was absolutely the right thing to do. Not only am I now pushing towards 10k - I'm fitter less stressed and make time 3x a week just for me. Running has become as much about getting outside, finding some headspace and putting work stresses into some perspective as much as it is about being fit (though I've also lost about a stone and instinctively eat better).

As IannodaTruffe says it's win win all the way 😊

Hope your journey is as positive as mine. If it helps weeks 1-3 were definitely the worse and weeks 4-6 were amazing.

Will look forward to hearing how you're getting on.
