Help. I completed Wk2R2 on Thursday evening and felt fine and even enjoyed the run. I woke up yesterday to a swollwn right knee that was uncomfortable to walk on yesterday. I did think after a nights sleep it might have eased but no! Today it feels puffy and stiff.
Whay has happened???? Any advice? So disappointed as doesnt look like I will be running today 😦

Hi, sorry to hear you are suffering - I am in exactly the same boat! W2R1 was fine and I thought R2 had gone the same on Thursday but knees are now playing up - my good intentions of getting up first thing today for R3 are on hold - I'm going for the extra rest day and have my fingers crossed all will be OK. Hope you are feeling better soon!
Oh no poor you! There is a lot of information on NHS Choices website on managing knee pain and swelling, as well as NHS information on knee stretches which may help. Taking an anti inflammatory such as ibruprofen may help as long as you’re not taking any other medications that could react with it, if in doubt ask your local pharmacist.
Often with muscles it’s where we’ve woken them up to do something(my knees also protest too!!) and they react but careful stretching to nurture them is essential- I’m not sure of the link but it’s NHS stretching after running and it’s on C25K podcast.
