I went to a running store and got fitted for shoes - they did a gait analysis to help select the best shoes for me and put me in half a size larger than I would have selected myself, and it was definitely the right choice! People say that the right shoes are the #1 thing!

As in the link that's already been given..

Go to a reputable running shop for gait analysis and fitting of running shoes..

First and foremost you will probably need a bigger size. When you run your toes really do need more room. My runners are a full size bigger than my street shoes.

My run shop experience was brilliant even though I felt a bit embarassed to even go in. You can't beat real experience.

Even if you just get advice and then buy online. Start fitness have brilliant old season deals once you know what you need. 👍😁
