Hi everyone..hope you’ve all had a nice Easter?
So after my pummelling on Friday & what with my Easter bunny & domestic goddess roles to fullfill over the weekend today was the first opportunity to ‘let the wasp out of the jar’ so imagine my utter horror when I saw the Flippin snow??? For GODS sake..haven’t we had enough now?! So I didn’t even get dressed until dinner time coz I was cozy on the sofa watching Disney films...but then...the rain came & washed away the snow, well, on the pavements at least...so my kit was on...the rain was heavy, I know it was on my side trying it’s best to wash away the white stuff for me...but,even though it was on my side, it wasn’t showing any signs of baiting...I was itching to go, i kept looking out of the windows to see if it had a slowed at all..eventually, about 5:30 i just thought “just Flippin go, stop over thinking it, you’re waterproof & once your wet, you’re wet” so trainers laced off I toddled...it was hard...the gremlins were throwing that chubby rain in my eyes, it was dripping off my lashes, nose, chin...ear lobes..this was prob the hardest run I’ve had so far this year & it took me all my strength to keep going, I could easily have stopped & walked home but I didn’t...infact, I never saw another runner today, I mean who in their right mind???!!! But as I ran down the main road towards home I thought the people in their cars were probably thinking ‘why???? Why would you set off running in this weather??’ Well....there’s no explaining to a non-runner, they just wouldn’t understand...Daddycav said that they were prob thinking ‘wow, that’s determination right there!!!’ ....he knows all the right things to say!! so my motto for the day is ‘don’t overthink it...just do it xx
