Trail plans lost in the mud

The plan to get off road this morning was abandoned due to waterlogged trails and a desire not to get lost in the countryside in freezing rain.

Usual route instead, but the opposite direction for a change. Strava time at 4k suggested I might be on for my fastest 5k so I pushed on to get the time. But what I was really pleased with was then managing to really slow down and run another km after to get up to 6k.

Can’t emphasise enough how the mental strength the C25K plan helps you develop really shows through. I’m really seeing the benefit of the week 5 - 7 slog now so if you are working through that right now be reassured that it’s doing amazing things to both your body and brain that will be really useful later 😀
