What to wear now it’s less arctic?

I’ve loved running in my woolly hat and puffa gilet but I feel somewhat overdressed now. Any suggestions? Plus I need secure place for my phone - but with easy access in case the app crashes!

For me it’s just a long sleeved running top with lightweight jacket...I ALWAYS end up taking my jacket off & tying it round my waist...therefore faffing with my arm sleeve in my mouth whilst doing knots...think I’m getting a name for myself as the stripping pink runner!! Too many layers just end up off....!!

I’m gradually reducing my layers! I have got rid of vest and am in long sleeved thin top with very light weight men’s fluorescent gilet! Then it will be t shirt and shorter length trousers!

First light evening run with wee group tonight! Already worrying a bit about what to wear!!! 😀

It’s the warm up walk that the problem for me, that first entry into the cold outside air means I wear far to many layers. I have at least lost the gilet top now and aiming for a short sleeved top with a light weight fleece next. I have different thickness leggings too and even some shorts! I can’t wait for just a few degrees warmer. I recently ran on holiday and the joy of going out ready to run in so many fewer clothes was fantastic. I also have a waist belt for phone ,keys, tissues etc. Sometimes I’m brave enough to leave all technology behind and it feels very free just to go out there and run with nothing but birdsong and my own thoughts for company.

In the dark reaches of my mind I would like to run in a sports bra and shorts to emulate those photos of the elite athletes, however I fear the world is not ready for that unwholesome vision 😱

I have a running belt. It has a plastic front so you can still see the screen and use the touch screen through it. Then there's space in there for house keys and other bits and bobs as well.

Running belt many of us have.... Amazon sell them.. Freetoo...

Lightweight jacket and strip! But don't shed the layers too soon... cold weather is heading back towards us:)

Don't know if this has come up before but it would be good if we could buy a c25k t-shirt. We could then wave at fellow c25kers when we are out running and promote the program at the same time!

I’ve been using just my medium weight long-sleeved top recently. I’m usually a little cold for the first couple of minutes of the warm-up but then fine for the rest of it, and I just can’t be bothered with trying to take layers off while I’m running!

I’m told by an experienced runner to add 10 degrees to the actual temp and dress for that. Works for me! First couple of mins of warm up is a bit chilly but after that it’s fine.

I wear leggings and tshirt now as sweat like mad on these longer runs! I have the Nike slim running belt for my phone 👍🏽

Thanks guys- looks like I need to get a proper running top and belt at the very least. Just trying to get over my aversion to sports clothing. Shut out mental image of shell suit and bumbag!
