Getting there!

Ok, week 4 started cannot believe I have got this far. A bit frustrating doing Weight watchers and running but only lost 3lb’s was hoping for more. Never mind enjoying getting back to the running and listening to Fleetwood Mac.

I'm the same. Weight loss has really slowed down since I've started doing the extra exercise. It's really frustrating isn't it. I am hopeful though that in the long term it will start falling off. Muscle is heavy so the weight on the scales is almost a false weight if that makes sense. xx

You’re not building any muscle by doing C25k though

Surely your leg muscles will get bigger

Not from doing C25k, no. You are only going for a short distance, and only slowly

You have to be patient. All good things ..... 🙂

We have to work our way through things. When we make the effort we get the rewards The rewards are better health, fitness and strength and slimming down. Hopefully, you will feel better and happier while you're going through this process 😃

If you eat healthily and keep moving the weight is bound to shift!

Good luck 💪😃👍

I do slimming world and c25k. On my 1st week I had the shock of my life as I had put half a pound on. I was so disappointed I nearly jacked the running in as every week before I had always lost. The following week I lost 6.5 pounds. I’m kinda on week 8 but have been running for 30 minutes instead of 28 so I’m kinda on week 9. But I try and run every other day so ie mon wed fri sun tues thurs etc etc. Since I’ve started running in total I’ve lost 10.5 pounds. If you’re going to start running I would recommend measuring your self as your find it be inches you are losing and not weight.

Good point! I wish i’d taken measurements. I could kick myself for not doing so 😞

Weight loss takes time, and you won’t lose every week. There will be gains ! You have to roll with the punches but never quit! We have to be dogged to get where we want to be. Stick with healthy eating/drinking and doing some exercise and you’ll get where you want to be It’s a way of life rather than a quick fix 🙂

I do slimming world with running. I found in the early weeks of C25K that I didn’t lose much weight, but it came right later. It was suggested to me that the new exercise can cause some water retention in the muscles. I don’t know whether that is true or not, but it was a temporary situation. Also you need to be aware that the exercise doesn’t mean that you can eat lots of extra food or indulge in extra treats - I am guessing that this may change when you are training for half marathon! 😄

Running is the thing... the weight loss may follow..but you will be looking leaner and meaner and feeling fitter too :) Well done:)

I do Slimming World and started C25K to help maintain my 4.5 stone weight loss, in the 9 weeks that I’ve followed this program I’ve lost an extra 7lbs and never gained weight at all.
