Thanks for all your advice about slowing down. Yesterdays run was a bit slower (running slower than walking! ) and managed to finish without totally exhausting myself. Even think I might be ready for w3! Although running for 3 -mins worries me 😦
Getting there. .: Thanks for all your advice... - Couch to 5K
Getting there. .
Week 3 is achievable if your pace and breathing is right. I ran so slowly at first that I wondered if it could even be called running but I am starting week 9 next week and my pace is good for a beginner, I have avoided injury and excited to be graduating. Speed is something you can work on after you finish, just running for the session and doing it in a relaxed way will get you through. Julie
I start week 3 today. It was meant to be yesterday but I met a friend for dinner instead (note my clever avoidance tactic). We can do this!
Go for it! You've finished w2 (well done!!) You are ready for w3, ignore the gremlins. X
Thanks. Yes I will
Fantastic work. You can so run 3 minutes. When you tackle Week 9 you'll look back on your fear of Week 3 with awe and wonder.
Well done. You can make it.
I'm where you are, well done on finishing week 2, hope week 3 goes ok for both of us (and 3 minutes scared me a bit too )
I know what you mean about running for 3 minutes, it seems like a long time. lots of advice on this forum ( I am an avid reader). I have fully taking on board about slowing down and believing in myself and the programme ( I also run slower than I walk) this and the support from this forum has got me to week 6. congratulations on finishing week 2, you can do week 3.

I have always learned that one does NOT work on pace and distance at the same time. So just focus on distance for now.
Hi I have slowed down too and found the first run okay. I have the 2nd one tomorrow. We will nail this week Joopoo!
