So, at almost 71 years old and never tried to run before my friend and I decided to give C25k a go.
Over the last 9 weeks we have been out 3 times a week in the evenings often in freezing rain and snow, but always supported by our local athletics group.. the Rotherham Harriers. With their encouragement and following the plan we actually graduated last night!! It took me 49 minutes but with a trainer beside me I dug in and finished. I feel so proud and feel the programme is an inspiration to all ages. I can’t stop smiling and I’ll be out again in a couple of days and maybe improve my time.
To everyone out there currently doing this I would say stick to the plan.. it works
