Just had a quick look at your profile, have you still stopped smoking?

lagatachocolate profile image

Yes, still stopped. Just as well, there is no way I'd be able to run if I was still fagging it!

Thanks for asking/checking up on me/keeping me in line :o)

I stopped smoking also so I know what a big deal it is 👍🏻

I did use a e.cig at first but free of that too

Isn’t it just. How long have you been quit? It’s the best decision I ever made, wish I’d never started.

I quit smoking quite a long time ago, but I am on e-cig. How did you manage to stop vaping?

I decided that vaping had also become a habit / addiction I was still getting the nicotine that I craved (not that I admitted to it when I vaped)

I did the quit smoking challenge I was still getting the nicotine only a different way ,it was tough going, but I got there

I'm on lowest nicotine level. I mix 3mg/ml with 0 mg/ml to have approx. 0.5-1mg/ml. I started to add a bit of 3mg/ml after couple of weeks, as the taste of pure 0 is a little dull.

For me is habit / addiction to sucking in the smoke or even more to making this awesome cloud.

I am not around smokers which helps , i think I have cracked it , no more cravings after food or Alcohol 👍🏻

You have to want to stop smoking or vaping before you do anything else , can’t go into this half hearted.

You have to be totally committed...

you can’t let your guard down 👍🏻

Lecture over I will get off my soap box ,

Patches and a quit mist

Then just Quit Mist , The quit mist became a habit (us smokers have addictive natures) I then used nicotine mints and finally normal mints which became a habit , mint free now most of the time 😂I was determined not to be a slave of the electronic cig anymore it's as addictive as smoking 😂

Yes, we do have addictive nature, at least I have. Now I became addicted to running. Past week without runs was horrible for me.

Totally agree but running is beneficial to your health

Vaping is still very new , Many years ago they

didn’t know the dangers of cigs it was fashionable to smoke ,

It’s apparently trendy amongst younger ones to vape 💨

It's not naughty, it is just against received wisdom.

Time to read healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Take care.

One thing I won’t do is push myself too far 👍🏻

Remember that you need at least a little bit of rest, as you may not feel all consequences of overtraining. At some point, your body may just snap, and you don't want that. Regeneration and rest as much important as the training itself.

That said. Go girl! Push your limits! Just wisely ;)

IannodaTruffe has said it like it is...just again tried and tested advice.

Torn muscles, even minor tears are horrendous. The longer runs are, just that, and despite how you may feel, the chances of injury increase. Don't push too hard.
