I've just completed week 3 run 2, and after the final 3 minute run I kept going for 2 minutes of the cool down walk. I'm not finding the runs challenging yet.
I'd say my fitness is above average as I've always done a lot of other activities.
I'm thinking about skipping week 3 run 3 and going straight for week 4. What do people think? Or is it best to complete all the runs?

Nope. Sorry. Stick with it. Part of the programme is learning to hold back and do as you're told.
I didn't find the early stuff taxing but my shins and knees have become accustomed to this new action at the right rate. As a keen mountain biker I originally thought I could just go running but my massage therapist stopped me before I overdid it.
The programme is brilliant and it's only 9 weeks. It's a super foundation to work from. If it's easy, great, you'll get through it on time with no hassles.
Stick with the plan..many folk on here are extremely fit..many still get injuries..the only way to get to the Graduation podium injury free is to do all the runs each week. Rest days are not negotiable and missing out runs or weeks is not a great idea..🤔Check out the advice on this in IannodaTruffe 's FAQ post. 😊
I did exactly the same, ran for 5 minutes at the end of w3r2! Yesterday I did w3r3 and increased the treadmill speed for the run sections, and think i’ll do this for the later week 4 runs as well (but I am very very slow!)
I was in a similar situation to you but decided to stick with the plan.
Four and a half years later I would always say follow the plan, having witnessed people here who were honest enough to admit that they got injured because they departed from the suggested runs.
Sure, it may not be challenging, but if you are new to running, you need to build your body slowly and steadily............and you will find most of the experienced runners here agreeing.
