Hiya and welcome to a new week.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

RIP Sir Ken Dodd.🌟

Thanks for the laughs and memories.🌟

Saw him get his Doctrate at John Moore’s University in Liverpool.Gracious and proud.🌟

World renowned for his very long concerts, uplifting 🤔😂 .Even had a laugh going home from Llandudno long past midnight ,with my Mother-law, who was just exhausted.🙈😂😂😂😂

Plenty tickling sticks needed and some to keep our eyes opened.🤔😂😂😂

Can you imagine living all your life in the same house, where you were born🤔.His Dad was a coal merchant, I don’t think Ken carried much coal.🙈🤔😂😂😂

I like the word ‘consolidation’ - I shall use it 🙂

It's a great chance to think about your posture, breathing and how you feel during your run.. still take it steady, but know you can do it😊x

Holding steady on week 6. I've had to take a break due to illness. This is one nasty bug that's kept me in bed for the last 4 days. Hopefully I won't miss more than a week and I can get out there for w6r3 and still manage it without any backtracking. I really don't want to do week 5 or 6 again!!

You will be able to carry on where you were, but make sure you are properly over that bug before you try...

There really is no rush to try and push on, better to enjoy your running and be successful...it can take as long as you need it to. 😊x

Yes, thank you. The bug moved into my lungs and I have an unpleasant cough. I'll wait it out, but anxious to get back out there!

Oh😯...rest and Get Well soon.

No running til you have your energy back😊x

Looking forward to W8R2 in the morning!

Can't believe that I'm so close to graduating?

Who'd have believed it?

I’m in two minds about running today... my neck is still very stiff and sore. I’ve taken ibuprofen but hey don’t seem to have had much effect, and the wheat bag gives relief as long as it’s warm and on my shoulder, but I can’t really take it running with me! ;) It’s snowing outside and although it’s not settling at all, it just feels like one more challenge.

I know that i should just get dressed into my gear, and go get it done - but can’t summon up the willpower. :(

I would take a rest day RainbowC, a stiff sore neck and that very cold wind are going to make it a tough run.

Why not wait and go when you feel more up to it😊xx

Take care.x

I think you’re right - and tensing up in the cold will only make it more painful I suspect... I’m really hoping it loosens up soon!

Neck and shoulder are feeling much better today - still not quite right, but so much better that I haven’t remembered to take any ibuprofen at all! :) I’m not sure about running tomorrow - I’ll see how snowy and icy it is by the time I get back from Brownies, and if it looks at all slippy I won’t go. Better a couple extra days off now than to try going out and either make things worse by tensing up too much, or fall and get a far worse injury! I did check out the pavements all the way down the main road as I drove past tonight - mostly they looked properly clear of ice and snow, but there were a few stretches which looked pretty treacherous... And we’ve had another inch or two this evening...

Im glad your neck is starting to feel less stiff RainbowC...yes, its a wait and see situation with the snow and ice, isn't it..I wouldn't like to slip over, and agree running whilst tense isn't a good move.

The runs will still be there when its safe.

Hope your neck feels better tomorrow 😊x
