Trail shoe advice needed please....can't decide!

I've been running in Inov8 roclite when I run trail but they're too wide and my foot slips around. So I'm looking for a narrower fitting shoe with a decent amount of cushioning. I had Gait analysis and I over pronate although I believe pronation is irrelevant in trail shoes as you're on uneven surface? Any suggestions welcome...I'm driving myself crazy looking at soooo many different types with such varying reviews!!

You can't beat going to a shop and trying them on your feet.

I'm always looking for the widest shoes possible, so can't really help, but I've found that Salomon are so narrow that I can't even put them on, and know that Asics comes in 3 different widths. As the others said, maybe go to a shop and try them on?

Good luck with trial running, it is so much fun! Don't forget to do some ankle strengthening exercises if you're out in the wild, uneven surfaces tend to give ankles a lot of work!
