Solomon trail shoes sale

I have had an email advertising various Solomon trail shoes for £18-25 in the sale at sports direct. Thought some of you may want some trail shoes at cheaper prices!

Am I right in thinking trail shoes are all neutral and then I get the inserts to suit?

I think so, but I don't think that you need inserts. davelinks is the guy to ask Jacs!

Sorry, just seen the question! I am not sure about trail shoes as I only run on tarmac. I'm not much help really!!

Don't worry, I'm hoping that Dave will come to Jacs rescue on this one! 😀 I was looking at trail shoes funnily enough when I had fractured my knee but didn't know it. Have called a halt to new purchases until I find out what I can and can't do. 😀

Oh no, fractured knee is not good. Goodness how did that happen? I did mine during a hockey match and I was in a heavy splint and crutches for 4 weeks and a lighter splint for a further 2 weeks. I had physio exercises which got me mobile much quicker. After 6 weeks I could run lightly and was back on the pitch after 10 weeks. Sadly I ended up with surgery a few months later as it wasn't right (more traumatic damage than was first apparent). That was 10 years ago and a second fracture later but it gives me no problems running.

I did it running, but really silly 😜 because I was about to get a PB when it moaned, ignored it because my PB was definitely on, got my PB, but ran on it for a further final 10 minutes as I was moving up from 5k to 10k. So on crutches for 3 weeks, then seeing consultant to see if I need to be non weight bearing for another three. So glad to hear that you're better now and so glad to hear that you are running again. 💪🏻😀🤗 x

Wow that is such bad luck. It is rather tedious being on crutches but necessary. If they give you exercises then do them lots! Hopefully it will heal quickly and you will be back out again in a month or so. In the meantime it is lovely to hear your advise on here.

Jacs, Trail shoes are neutral and you don't usually need inserts, so makes it easier when buying, don't have to worry about pronation. Dont wear them for road running though.I got my excellent more miles Cheviot shoes through Amazon for £19.99, think they're about £30 now, reasonable price for something you gonna get messed up. I get no slipping at all, so give confidence, trail shoes are really vital as the winter comes in, I know people who have sustained bad injury through not wearing trail shoe's, and just last week someone suffered a turned ankle at Parkrun..

Thanks Dave, guess i just need to worry about the size now then, my running shoes are size and half bigger than normal shoe size.

Mine are to Jacs, so should be OK for trail shoes as mine are..
