Fresh start!

ramsgaterunner79 profile image

So after taking a week off for illness I started on Week 1 again. Probably could have moved on but so glad I didn’t. I’m much more confident now and feel I’ve got my pace right now. Beginning to run in more public places now and not along back streets as getting a lot less self conscious. I’m finding that although I’m not really loosing weight yet as far too soon, I have much more energy to run around with the kids. Starting this was the best thing I’ve ever done and this forum and my renewed energy levels are just the motivation to keep me going!

Sounds like you're really on your way. Just keep eating sensibly with not too many treats and the weight will shift more later when you are running for longer. The kids will soon be trying to catch you 😀

That’s the aim. Just enjoying getting fit at the mo. As you quite rightly say the rest will come 😀

That’s lovely to hear. You and your kids will benefit from more energy. Sounds like you’re loving it from the off (just like I did) and I too loved and valued the support of this forum. Good luck! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Hey. Good thanks. Had tonsillitis at the beginning of the week so only just started week 2s runs but went well this morning. Kept up and completed every interval and even managed to increase my pace slightly at the end which is new. Am really chuffed with myself. How are you getting on?

Glad you're feeling better and have beeb able to pick up the running again. It sounds like you're doing really well increasing your pace too so you deserve to feel really proud of yourself!

I'm still plodding along; currently on week 4 and amazing myself every time I manage to finish a session and the lung capacity is increasing, slowly!

I’ve decided that it’s best to plod along. It may take me longer than nine weeks but I’ll get to the end in my own time. Sounds like you’re doing brilliantly. I have now started talking back to Sarah Millican which must look very strange but I did shout yes I have when she said you’re doing well this time 😆

Week 4 - Amazing! Well done 👍

Sounds like you made the right choice to go back. It's a fantastic programme and really does so much more than just (🤣) teach you to run. Keep it up, hold than head high, you're going places 👍😁
