I've just done mine today , found today's runs ok but I did struggle with day one the first 5 min stint , but mine was about finding my pace , sorry I don't have any advice

Don’t worry! There is no hurry at all, no pressure, no need to push. Go really nice and steady and you’ll nail these sessions. You can re-do the runs, of course you can.

You’ve only been running for a few weeks so it won’t feel easy. That’s to be expected

Relax and have fun 🙂👍🏃‍♀️

Yup! I’ve done this plan at least twice if not three times in the past, and have never yet sailed through it in nine weeks. I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter though. If I’m planning on continuing running regularly - which I am - then a few extra weeks doing these runs rather than different ones makes no odds at all. At least I’m running!

Try not to be disappointed - just a few weeks ago you’d have been astonished and elated at the idea of running 8 mins non-stop, and baffled as to how you could be disappointed that’s ‘all’ you managed. Hold on to that thought, have a rest day tomorrow, and try again next time. Go slow and steady, and you’ll get there.

I echo Rainbowc comments, concentrate on how far you’ve come, and try not to be disappointed. Repeat the runs, take extra rest days, whatever you need to succeed, there are no rules: except slow and steady. Think of the plan as 27 runs rather than 9 weeks. You’re doing great! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Yes definitely. I don’t think you should expect everyone to be able to do Couch25K in the same way. My husband took about 5 MONTHS to do weeks 1 to 4! He repeated them loads. And I repeat a run if I feel like it before moving to the next.

I noticed this is your first post.🤔

Well done, you are doing brilliantly.

I forgot to read your post before replying🙈Of course I have read it and there is no history to read.🙈

Please take all the gems you need to help you from this forum.

FAQ Posts etc.

You are training a running body and a running brain also.

Slow and steady and do not stop gives you the stamina reward.

But remember slow and steady is your handbrake and relax is not your accelerator.🤔You are that.

Sorry but I hope TIA is not the medical abbreviation.🤔

Sounds like you are not relaxing and releasing all body tension which will not allow you to breathe effeciently and give your muscles the extra oxygen you need to extend your running periods.Neck tension can affect blood flow also.🤔

Remember to exhale your CO2 also,

RSPSPE.🤔Relax Start positive Stay positive and Enjoy.

No tension however you want to achieve that.🤔👏👏

Enjoy, have no fear of any training run, only enjoy. Believe it and believe in you.🌟

As this your first post and do not see any welcome advise 🤔, is this correct and how have you being getting the information and all the other support. Have I missed something.🤔🙈

It’s easy to lose confidence as a novice runner (I should know!) but please don’t worry, no two runs are the same and sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to it. As your experience grows you will be able to puta duff run into perspective; they happen! Maybe you were tired or a bit dehydrated, who knows.

As others have said, slow down to find a pace that enables you to keep going. This is especially important as the runs get longer. Put it down as a practice and do it again next time. Remember too that often it is the mental attitude that carries you through so set out next time with a can do attitude👍😊🏃🏾‍♀️
