I had a wonderful run at 6.30am this morning doing my usual 30min run. What made this one different was the route. I don't normally go near the sea because there's a big hill but today I pushed myself on up the hill. When I got to the brow of the hill the sun was just coming up and it was shining so beautifully on the water it literally took my breath away and I burst into tears. It was as if I was being rewarded for all the effort. I know it was probably the feel-good chemicals but the rush of gratitude took me by surprise. Then I saw two dog walkers coming towards me and had to dry my eyes pronto. I'm really pleased that I started running weeks ago in the dark because these early mornings will hopefully hold more awe-inspiring moments :)

That sounds amazing. What a fantastic reward for the hard work of getting there - both up that hill this morning, and in the bigger scheme of things too!
