Hi. I absolutely hate running. However this year I'm going way out of comfort zone and doing two Tough Mudders. I'm a martial artist so while I'm fairly fit, I don't think my do near enough consistent cardio. I have absolutely no stamina for running and or keeping going, and get disinterested in running very easily. I'm hoping this app will get me going and give me the stamina I'm looking for. At least my dog is enjoying it πΆ

Hi
You were made for this and the C25k programme was made for you.
You are going to love running and your biggest deficit that you highlight is your stamina.
The NHS One You / C25k programme and jewel in the crown has as a shared objective on getting you able to run for 30mins at your pace.
It does that by building your running body and running brain with 27 runs over a 9 week period or whatever you need, Not quicker ? You need a repair day after every run day.
Read the FAQ Posts essential.
Your stamina is built by not stopping during the actual run periods irrespective of how much you have to slow. Better than walking pace of course.
The support is world class.
Some of the Mentors and Administrators will be a long to welcome you and guide you.
This will change your life. Keep posting,
I find music really helps
Hello and welcome aboard!
This programme is superb. I wouldn't have voluntarily run anywhere previously and can now run for 28 mins straight...
I thought I was pretty fit as I do physical work and mountain biking but my fitness is now 8 weeks in, even better.
Just take each session one at a time with some good tunes and you'll be amazed at yourself in a few short weeks. ππ

As others have said the programme will build your stamina.
The amount of running in a TM is not too challenging, in fact - you are only running from obstacle to obstacle rather than running the whole distance of the course, but the more stamina at your disposal the better you will get on, obviously.
