Hey guys. I’m stuck at my in laws unable to go home for a few days due to the snow. I’ve no trainers etc with me and worrying that by the time I can eventually run I’ll not be able to complete it. My next run was due to be wk7 run 1 which was supposed to be yesterday but I had to take my hubby to A&E so that didn’t happen. How long would you think is too long between runs!? 🤔

You can go a couple of weeks before you will lose noticeable fitness. At this stage a lot of it's in your head. You will be fine. But if your still worried, there are sportsdirects everywhere and you could buy some cheap gear to go for a run

I was staying away recently and although I managed a couple of runs they were more spread out that usual - every four days or so - and I had to forego the last one due to an upset stomach. So W7 r2 didn’t happen for 5 days, but I had no problem when I resumed. I’m 65 and have never run before. Hope this reassures you a bit.
Thank you....yes it does help! 😊
On one of the posts on here, knee strengthening exercises were recommended for niggles and twinges. I only get these very occasionally but did them on the days I couldn’t run as a way of keeping some sort of momentum going. They can’t hurt anyway and help strengthen the legs generally. And make you feel you’re doing something!

As long as it takes.. we do not lose fitness that quickly and, there are lots of exercise you can do in the meantime
Stretching...squats, snowballing and igloo building
