This reluctant runner is AMAZED...

I am amazed to the point where I'm asking myself "Who am I???"!! I did my second run for W1, and, halfway through, I was SMILING and having a great time! The bad day at work melted away and my confidence soared.

I had heard of the "runner's high", but dang! Y'all have been keeping the whole truth under wraps! I had no idea! Only 2 runs into this, and suddenly Miss-I-don't-run turns into Miss-I-don't-want-to-stop-running!

I desperately need new shoes, though. Today is supposed to be run 3, but I may put it off until tomorrow after I've purchased some good running shoes. Do any of you wear Brooks shoes? I spoke with a co-worker and he raved about them. What are your favorite shoes?

Thanks to all who contributed to my first post - y'all are the best! Happy running, everyone!

Definitely need shoe pics! I’ve had New Balance, currently have Saucony. It’s about what fits best and supports you right :)

Oh, and happy running! :D

With shoes don't go for a particular brand, go for what works for you and for your feet

Glad you are having such a ball :)

Shoes fit so differently, so try a bunch on before you decide.

You are the runner.... :) Very well done you :)

New shoe pikkie needed... it is the rule:)

I love my Brooks - but get your gait tested first for any shoe, so you get the right ones. My Brooks are a size bigger than usual (thats fairly standard) and they tend to be good if you have slightly broader feet (which I do). But I also have Saucony’s and they’re fab too.

Great to read that! Running gods are with you! I was also this type of person (if you see me running start doing the same as something lethal is chasing me). Now, I cannot live without it. At least not for a long time.

It is addictive as hell. But it's sounds like it is already too late for you. Welcome among the addicts ;)
