Have just completed week 6. I have to say, I have found this week the toughest since week 1 and I don't seem to have hit the highs that I was getting each time I run. For the last couple of weeks, at the end of a run I begin to get a very 'slight' knee niggle. I wouldn't say pain, it's almost that its not quite in alignment or something and is rubbing slightly on the inside. I am stretching well before and after, but am desperate not to to let it turn into something, now that I am doing longer runs. Any advice? I am hoping prevention is better than cure? Thanks everyone. Feeling a little deflated.

Try these....lots of exercises too for stamina and strength as these runs get longer...
Try to land very lightly and take it slowly Really slowly
The longer runs are perfect for pulling back and letting the newly found running legs begin to find their happy pace.
Make sure your knee is feeling comfortable and try a gentle joggette to test how it feels after your exercises... a niggle can sometimes turn into a pain... and we never ignore that.
I am sure you are going to be fine
You may have to think about taking a further rest day between runs to see if it helps 😳
Hi MissyMoff, great advice from Oldfloss and Millsie.
Just wondered about your running shoes, are they supporting you correctly...probably fine, but if you haven't had a gait analysis at a proper running shop, maybe now would be a good idea to check your footwear is right...in case thats what is affecting your knee.
