"You're officially a runner" at the end of W6R3 today, and I swear I lifted 2 feet off the ground and haven't come back down yet!!!
I realised (from someone else's post) that I will never run again with a walking break (unless one goes wrong and it ends up being a practice run๐) it made me quite sad... And then I realised: it's because the plan knows you don't need them now Liz.... And that made me very happy!๐ฌThankyou to everyone for your continued support. I am absolutely loving this journey and it's made all the more pleasurable by reading everyone else's experiences. And of course, the knowledge that everyone has is amazing!
Bring on W7! Happy running everyone! ๐๐๐

"Walking and running are like tea and coffee - I like them both, but not at the same time." << That is a genius way of putting it... I say that as well as someone who hates BOTH tea & coffee
Don't write off walking breaks just yet though. There is a place for them even in quite advanced training. You may find you have walking breaks in speed training and lots of people use run/walk methods in training for longer distances including marathons.
Happy running! You are getting close to graduation now...
I intend to use the run/walk system during my training for the GNR but only as required. A part of me says itโs cheating, but as long as youโre moving forward is all that matters.....and as long as youโre youโre running a LOT more than walking ๐
Brilliant !! Well done , I'm 1 run behind, I completed week6 run2 today and am dreading Saturdays 25 minute run. But your post has given me the extra boost I was looking for to complete it, Thanks x
Don't dread it, honestly, it doesn't feel (physically) much different to W5R3... Although I know it does mentally. You'll be fine I'm sure... Let me know when you you've done it so I know you're floating too๐ฌ
Good, glad you said that as I remember thinking that too and being shocked because I thought the extra 5 minutes would be hell and then it really was an anticlimax?!?
So many congrats! I loved it when Laura said I was a runner. Honestly, though I felt *great* hearing it (and I really did, proper stupid grin), I have very much been in denial. Too ingrained in my brain from others that that's "not me", so I only actually said it out loud when I cracked my 5K duck Doh.
