Good for you Mollie29 , good luck!

There are a few I think. One chap recently graduated in his 80's :)

Good luck!

Well done! Yes, taking it slowly is key to staying injury free..

FlickM3 is 71 years young, she will no doubt be along soon to get you into bad ways! Like emptying your bank account by buying loads of running gear!😁

Im a youngster at a touch over 60.

Not just starting but the same age as you. I graduated from the program early this month. First of all, you can do it. Secondly, dont expect to be as fast or as strong as when you were younger, at least initially. It will take longer to build your atrength. I thought i was pretty fit, walking, swimming etc, but the early weeks were hard. But then there are people in their twenties doing c25k, people who are regular gym users or footballers and they find it hard too. Be patient with yourself, stick to the program, dont go at it like a bull at a gate. believe in yourself, and if you get a bad run from time to time, as we all do, learn from it and look forward to the next run. By the end of the course you will be able to run for 30 minutes non stop, and that will be just the beginning of building stamina and distance. I now run for up to 40 minutes happily. And dont be dismayed if you cant run 5k by the time you graduate: apparently only 10% of people can, regardless of age and prior sporting ability. The progrqm is very cleverly worked out and is like magic.

Loads of seniors here. It doesn't matter about being a senior as it's the same for everyone really as you only need to go really slowly

It's fun!

I started with this programme as a fat slob at nearly 57 and just ran my first marathon on my 60th

This programme rocks!

Welcome.

You may be 71 now, but stick with the plan and in no time at all you will be ten years younger.

The guide to the plan may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.
