Knee pain in week 2

I have just ran the first run of week 2, but I am suffering with pain in my kneecaps. I have finally got my breathing right, but the pain in my knees slowed me down :(

Any tips on how i can prevent the knee pain? I am worried it is going to get worse!

I’ve done these exercises after niggles (and regularly also) and they seem to be working

Also, get a gait analysis and buy some running shoes from this if you haven’t already!

Thank you for the exercises, I will definitely try them! Luckily a girl I go running with is a physio, she is going to have a look for me!

Absolutely get your gait analysed and get properly fitted running shoes, if you havent already. Even my GP told me that. Honestly, it can save you from injuries and aches and pains 😊

Thank you, I think i will have to! I am only in week 2 but I am really enjoying my running, I don’t want to have to give up so soon!

I think I had mine done in week two or three. It made all the difference 😊
