Well done Harry and welcome to the forum..

Nice steady running is all that's required...Good luck with W1 R2.

Don't forget to do a few stretches after your warm down walk while your muscles are still warm too. 😊..

Hello Harry. I turned 60 in December too...although I have my fingers in my ears and am in complete denial. I Joined the programme 3 months ago and graduated last week, plus first 5k today. I am new to running having been a keen walker- like you- and a swimmer. I have to say that the programme really works if you let it. Plus, there is fantastic support and some great advice from the lovely people on here. They certainly pulled me along.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, nice to see another 60 year old doing it, well done doing the 5k, I can't imagine being able to run that far.

Got week two done then caught a really bad cold which has sidelined me for a week, never had a cold like it that I can remember, it could be at least another week before I can think about running, will probably have to go back to week one again.

What a pain! The running will still be waiting for you! A cold will last a week or two. The running bug will be with you for life!
